A lot of SEOs and DIY search engine optimization beginners want help with a general SEO checklist they can follow for setting up an initial client site, so, in order to help, I’ve added a link to a general list with a few things you’ll want to do at the start of any campaign. The order you do the SEO checklist in doesn’t have to be exact. Basic, must-do things such as downloading the site FTP, setting up Analytics, and conducting keyword research are on there, as are some less-used strategies for overall analysis of site health. Any one of the items listed could require extensive attention or possible site infrastructure redesign for things such as page load speed (with special attention to First Byte Time).
